Continuing to grow: GvW welcomes Dr Wolfram Desch as new partner
Dr Wolfram Desch will join GvW Graf von Westphalen as a new equity partner and strengthen the firm’s Munich office. Mr Desch is coming from Görg, where he advised on insolvency and reorganizations. Dr Desch is specialized in restructuring as well as (insolvency-related) litigation. In particular, he has extensive experience in cases of liability for executive organs with D&O reference.
With Wolfram Desch as new partner, Graf von Westphalen will gainfully complement its already comprehensive litigation experience by insolvency litigation. Graf von Westphalen’s litigation team advises on extensive mandates across office locations. Furthermore, with his restructuring experience, Mr Desch will act as an important interface in the Munich office with the firm’s successful insolvency administration team headed by Carsten Liersch (Berlin) and Christian Fuhst (Munich).
“Dr Wolfram Desch is the consequential addition for the firm in the fields of litigation, D&O liability and restructuring. Moreover, Mr Desch will strengthen our Munich office in an ideal way, both personally and professionally”, states managing partner Dr Robert Theissen prior to Wolfram Desch’s start.
Wolfram Desch: “The firm advises on almost all areas of law, which allows me to cooperate on reorganizations with experts of various legal fields.”
Wolfram Desch is the fourth partner joining Graf von Westphalen in a very short time. With him, the firm successfully continues its growth strategy.

The Max Bögl group of companies has developed a new local public passenger transport system. The system called “Transport System Bögl” (TSB) uses magnetic levitation, or “maglev” technology and provides a clean and cost-efficient means of transport for better mobility in inner city areas. The technology is becoming increasingly popular also in other countries: Max Bögl’s most recent export order was the sale of its TSB to China. The company’s plans include building a 3.5 km test track in Chengdu and extensive marketing activities to promote the technology in China – all through a sales partnership with a Chinese company.
