TH Real Estate and Palmira acquire a logistics park near Munich
TH Real Estate and Palmira Capital Partners have acquired the logistics park Unterschleißheim near Munich for the portfolio of the investors club fund German Logistics (ICF GLog).
The logistics park used as a distribution and handling center having total lettable space of approximately 24,000 square meters was constructed in 1988 and most recently expanded with an addition and renovated in 2016. In addition to drying and cold storage facilities, the property has parking and maneuvering space and offers the users cross-docking possibilities. The location in the population center of Munich is connected directly to the Munich Nordring as well as the Munich airport with freeways. The property is fully leased out for the long-term. The main tenant is the freight forwarding service Logistikpartner Schneider & Co GmbH Speditions- und Logistik KG.
The logistics park Unterschleißheim is already the twelfth property which has been acquired for an invested club ICF GLog for Institutional Investment Partners (2IP). GvW Graf von Westphalen (Frankfurt) acted on all purchases by the fund. Thomas Schroiff (lead partner) and Shari Kind (both real estate, Frankfurt) acted in this transaction.

Federal Administrative Court: Fehmarn Belt Fixed Link may be built
The Federal Administrative Court has dismissed all six pending appeals against the planning decision on the Fehmarn Belt Fixed Link. Construction of the tunnel may therefore now also begin in Germany. GvW advised the State of Schleswig-Holstein and was represented by a Hamburg team consisting of Dr Ronald Steiling (lead), Corinna Lindau, Dr Dietrich Drömann, Prof. Dr Christian Winterhoff, Dr Andreas Wolowski, Saskia Soravia, Dr Stefanie Ramsauer, Dr Annika Bleier, Felix Kazimierski and Niclas Langhans. Transport System Bögl: new local public passenger transport system a big success in China
The Max Bögl group of companies has developed a new local public passenger transport system. The system called “Transport System Bögl” (TSB) uses magnetic levitation, or “maglev” technology and provides a clean and cost-efficient means of transport for better mobility in inner city areas. The technology is becoming increasingly popular also in other countries: Max Bögl’s most recent export order was the sale of its TSB to China. The company’s plans include building a 3.5 km test track in Chengdu and extensive marketing activities to promote the technology in China – all through a sales partnership with a Chinese company.
