DIVAG Group sells development project in Monheim to Bauindustrieverband Nordrhein-Westfalen e.V.
The DIVAG Group has sold a development project on the Rheinpromenade in Monheim to Bauindustrieverband Nordrhein-Westfalen e.V. The development project involves a three star "Comfort" hotel fully in operation, already leased out commercial and office space and a parking structure that is currently under construction.
The three star hotel "Comfort" brand in the Choice Hotels Group offers 178 rooms – mostly with a view of the Rhine – and is also attractive due to the central location in the business region of Düsseldorf/Cologne as well as the hotel's modern architecture and an unusual interior design. The commercial and office space of approximately 4,000 m² gross floor space is leased out for the long term to Deutsche Glasfaser Holding and "Sportpark Monheim", which has found a new residence here after already having been active in Monheim for more than 15 years,. The highlight of the modern wellness and fitness area, which is also available for the hotel's guests, is the sauna with a spectacular view of the Rhine. The parking structure must still to be completed and will be used by the hotel guests and tenants.
The developer of the project in Monheim is a joint venture consisting of DIVAG Konzept + Planung und LO-projects. The DIVAG Group is one of the oldest initiators and issuing firms for closed funds. The company focuses today especially on the development of operator properties. DIVAG Konzept + Planung is responsible within the Group for the acquisition, analysis and conceptualization of new real estate projects.
GvW supported the DIVAG Group in the course of the development project and the sale of the property with a team from different offices under the leadership of Dr Kurt Luka (Real Estate, Hamburg) Dr Thomas Senff (Construction Law, Düsseldorf) Dr Ulrich Schroeder (Hotels & Hospitality, Berlin), Dr Patrick Wolff (Bank and Capital Markets, Hamburg), Lutz Lamprecht (Landlord Tenant Law, Hamburg) and Moritz Koch (Construction Law, Hamburg).

Transport System Bögl: new local public passenger transport system a big success in China
The Max Bögl group of companies has developed a new local public passenger transport system. The system called “Transport System Bögl” (TSB) uses magnetic levitation, or “maglev” technology and provides a clean and cost-efficient means of transport for better mobility in inner city areas. The technology is becoming increasingly popular also in other countries: Max Bögl’s most recent export order was the sale of its TSB to China. The company’s plans include building a 3.5 km test track in Chengdu and extensive marketing activities to promote the technology in China – all through a sales partnership with a Chinese company.
